Christmas in Seoul
Merry Christmas, friends! On Saturday my husband and I met my aunt and cousin in Gwanghwamun (광화문) area for lunch, and then we walked around and attempted to buy him a coat. It took about seven stores, 100 coats tried on but we finally found one that fit his shoulders, his arms and buttoned shut! It was kind of like Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
We spent most of the afternoon walking around, mostly waiting for it to get dark because I wanted to see the Christmas decorations at Cheonggyecheon (청계천) to be lit up. It was pretty spectacular, complete with a shipping container you could stand on the end of to take a photo with Santa. I loved the LED balloons that were a perfect circle (Korea is the best at this kind of stuff!).
We spent a pretty low-key weekend getting things for the apartment and settling in now that he’s finally here (more about that in a later post) and had a nice meal at home. We miss our family and friends but we’re happy to be together this Christmas, our first as a married couple.
Hope you all get your Christmas wishes to come true too! xx
