Review: belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb
Happy holidays, y’all! It’s been awhile, so let’s get down to it.
It’s been a strange, strange winter so far: it’s been cold, then warm, then cold, then absolutely freezing. And in between all that, the heat in my apartment won’t turn on randomly so I’ve been going to sleep wearing Uniqlo Heat-Tech long johns.
Even as early as October, my skin was feeling so dehydrated upon waking. I used my silk pillowcase, slathered on snail cream and oil, yet when I woke up, it was like I had done nothing to my face except for hold it over the heater. And obviously that hadn’t happened since the heat hadn’t turned on.
And then a miracle happened: I was placing an order on Sephora.com and one of the free samples was this belif The True Cream mini set, which contained the belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb (a mid-weight cream), The True Cream Aqua Bomb (a lighter gel texture), and the Hungarian Water Essence (a very lightweight, almost watery texture). I got it around the end of October, but didn’t really think to use it until I was home at my parents’ over Thanksgiving.
Oh my goodness, the belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb is seriously legit. “Holy grail status” (as much as I hate to use that phrase). It promises up to 26 hours of moisture and “leaves skin soft, supple and deeply moisturized.” Does it? Yes it does!
I used a little bit the first night I was home and when I woke up the next morning I seriously couldn’t believe how much moisture was still retained in my skin. And on top of that, it was glowy. And not dry, sandpaper-y looking. And not wrinkled. YASSSS.
The little sample jar lasted me a good 2 weeks, and then I finally bought a full size at Sephora. My fiancé actually looked at me and said, “Do you really need that? You have so much face stuff already.” I gave him a look that basically said, ‘How dare you question what I need for my face’ and defiantly bought it. Okay, I’m being slightly dramatic but you get the picture. Despite everything else I have in my skincare arsenal, I needed this. NEED. I’m never letting it go.
I go through my normal skincare routine after cleansing, which is currently:
1. HERA Cell-Bio Essence as a toner
2. Nature Republic Snail Essence
3. Nature Republic Cell Boosting Essence
4. belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb to seal it all in
I have pretty reactive skin but so far, nothing but great reactions to this cream. Let me know in the comments if you’ve tried this or what’s your winter wonder skincare?
